We invite faculty to drop in for Moodle training sessions with instructional technology staff in Studio D (Library 1016) every Thursday starting July 17 through August 14. No RSVP is required. Below is the outline for morning and afternoon sessions, to be repeated weekly. We encourage faculty to take advantage of these drop-in sessions, but if you have a conflict and need to schedule an individual appointment, please contact Paul Brantley (firstname.lastname@example.org | ext 2897).
10 – 11am: Introduction to Moodle (ideal for those new to Moodle)
11 – 11:30am: Adding Assignments (communicate tasks, collect work and provide grades and feedback)
11:30am – Noon: Grading and the Gradebook
2 – 2:30pm: Brief Overview of Moodle 2.4
2:30 – 3pm: Creating Groups (organize users into groups within the course or within particular activities)
3 – 3:30pm: Student Collaboration Tools
3:30 – 4pm: Creating Quizzes and Using the LockDown Browser (a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Moodle)
